FOR THE CURRENT TAX SEASON

• The IRS will only send the 1040 physical form and instructions to the library. Clark Public Library will not be receiving any other instructions, schedules, or publications from the IRS & State of New Jersey.
• The Library has received the 1040 & 1040-SR forms and instruction booklets as of Friday, 1/20/2024.  
• The filing deadline for the IRS is Monday, April 15, 2024, for calendar-year taxpayers – matching the due date for the federal Form 1040.

One can obtain forms, instructions, schedules, and publications in the following ways:

• Order tax forms to be delivered by mail from the IRS website at: www.irs.gov/orderforms

• Call the NJ Division of Taxation Customer Service Number:  609-292-6400(Office Hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., except State Holidays. Closed Fridays).

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide provides free tax preparation in different ways – in-person, low-contact, or contact-free – depending on what service is available in your area. Some sites can provide service in one or two visits, or you may not need to visit a site at all, with all interactions taking place online.

The IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and the Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs offer free tax help for taxpayers who qualify.
